A benefits realization program monitors and reviews the benefits delivered by the solution to ensure that value is being delivered to the business. A ‘realization plan’ is created to determine how benefits will be obtained and how these will be measured. The system sponsor and key stakeholders should agree a timetable for the realization of the proposed benefits of the system. There should be a series of benefits reviews at which the progress of the realization process is monitored and evaluated.
