Complete the Project Overview section of the Project Success Plan Section 1

Describe the following:

  • Background - What is the background to this project, how did it come about, what is the business pain, why are we doing this?
  • Business - A summary of the customers business, their strategy and how our solution will help them deliver on that strategy whether enterprise, departmental etc.
  • Business Benefits - Why is the project being undertaken?
  • Project Visions - A high-level view of the original reasons for initiating the project: this must not be dissipated during development.
  • Objectives - List the project objectives as defined by the customer.
  • Success - List the Success Criteria for this project in the Customers words.
  • Stakeholders - Who are the stakeholders? Re-iterate their expectations.
