Review Project Charter

Obtain a copy of the charter

Complete a project charter if one does not exist. It is
a good project management practice to insist upon the creation of a project charter. As a last resort, if you
cannot get someone in authority to write the charter, it would be advantageous for you to write it and submit it to
the sponsor for approval.

Enhance the charter if it is not adequate for
supporting this project

Review the charter , understand the business goals and
objectives that this project is required to deliver against, and ensure that you have adequate authority to achieve
those goals and objectives.
